Our Purpose

Team Rebel is a group of extreme anglers that were assembled by founder Zach "The Hammer" Miller. Team Rebel is quickly rising up the fishing ranks to national prominence, while keeping their own edge and style as they are kicking down the doors in the extreme angling entertainment industry. Team Rebel can only be described as  "A rock band that got stuck on a drift boat for too long" and many people in the fishing world and entertainment industry are intrigued, yet mystified by their edge, attitude,accomplishments and style. Team Rebel is on the cutting edge of expeditionary style angling and is world renowned for pushing the envelope to accomplish extraordinary angling feats, all while carrying a strong message of conservation about the wildlife we encounter in our expeditions.This is done all while we fight for anglers rights all across the state. We are experts in the department of shark fishing, land-based fishing, as well as shark fishing historians. Our quest will never end, as our pursuit to accomplish what many deem impossible is what drives us to put our life and own safety on the line to flatten the box of ordinary, and promote a misunderstood and mostly forgotten style of extreme angling in a way that old school sport is met with a new age twist. Join them, as cast off on our quest to rock the angling and scientific world, all while achieving our goals in ways that many may label them "Insane".

Team Bio

 

 Zach Miller(Founder)- 

 

            Born and raised in South Florida, Zach is a true Florida Native. Zach has been roaming the lands between the Ocean and the Everglades for his entire life. He has fished all over the eastern seaboard of America ranging as far North as Connecticut, to the tip of Mile Marker 1 in the Florida keys and all throughout the Gulf of Mexico in search of Americas toughest species to capture and hunt from shore bound structures and beaches. He founded Team Rebel in early 1999 as just a group of friends doing what they enjoyed, but then it began a revolution in the underground sport with many captures that will be talked about forever. His precedent setting catches, techniques and ideas are recognized the world over by many anglers and angling enthusiasts. Zach is the only remaining original member of Team Rebel and has kept the tradition going strong for over a decade now.In 2009 he was voted onto the lead committee of the International Land Based Shark Fishing Association (ILSFA) as a representative for the state of Florida, and is also the competition co-ordinator for the Guy Harvey Ultimate Shark Challenge. Zach credits his success to a good attitude, "throw the box out" type of thinking, and an ever growing infatuation and intrigue for the creatures that roam the coast-lines and estuaries of America, and the need to further push to envelope and go where others not dare to venture in search of world-class angling opportunities.

 


Chris Nicklin-                                                                                                                                                          

 

        Chris has been an active member of Team Rebel for the last 6 years, and is the longest tenured team-mate next to Zach. Chris has been responsible for many unbelievable catches himself over his years in the organization, this including an 11ft hammerhead shark captured from a pier that was caught with just 30lb mono-filament line,  it took him 4 1/2 hours to accomplish this incredible feat. Along with his shark prowess, comes his Snook fishing mastery, with multiple 40lb class fish landed under his belt, he is one of the premiere Snook fisherman in the country. Chris has a very impressive track record with not just sharks but many other species from shore, especially with light and fly tackle.


 

 

Cody "Paper-Shredder" Davis-


This guy is the real deal, a long time friend finally turned to the Team Rebel brotherhood. He is the king of kings' and his flats fishing skills are unparalleled. He is a much needed breath of fresh air for the Team Rebel crew, and has added a new element of excitement and energy into the group. Keep an eye out for this guy, because we expect great things from the newest addition to the "Greatest Show on Surf".

 

 Adam "The Redfisk" Fisk-

 

      Ladies and gentleman, here we have the newest addition to the Team Rebel entertainment franchise, Adam "The Redfisk" Fisk. Redfisk Is a kayak fishing specialist, and is known abroad for his insane kayak stunts, leaving us all still pondering "how the hell is this guy still alive?" He is the quiet one of the group, but quite possibly the most insane, which blends perfectly with his "act first, ask questions never" attitude. Will he die in his free time, or on a Team Rebel excursion? More than likely, but until then, keep an eye on this guy, because he is literally taking everything he does to a new level!
